Twisted Tournament August 2025 - Rules, Terms, and Conditions
Introduction
Welcome to the Twisted Tournament August 2025! This contest begins on Mon Aug 18 2025.
Contest Process
Upon entering, you will be placed into either Group 1 or Group 2. Each round, you will receive specific prompts, which may include genres, tropes, and various elements. Each group typically receives different prompts for each round. You must submit your story through the website before the deadline for each round for your story to be included in judging. Do not put your name in the story - it must be anonymous. You can resubmit your story as many times as you wish during the round. Contest-specific terms and conditions can be found on the register page.
Submission Deadline
All entries must be submitted during the writing period for each round. No refunds will be given for failing to submit on time.
Judging and Results
After writing, there is a period for Peer Judging. Group 1 participants judge stories from Group 2, and vice versa. Judging is made easy by a drag-and-drop system to order stories by preference, which assigns points accordingly. Providing feedback is optional but encouraged. You must write and judge to be eligible to win the contest. Each story will be judged by multiple judges each round, and an average across the judges will be used to decide the score for that story. Those average scores will be added up to decide an overall score used in determining your overall placement.
Prizes
-
Please refer to the registration or my contests page (after you register) for a list of prizes. These will be paid by paypal, or awarded as site credit if preferred.
AI Prohibition and Originality Affirmation

Judging Criteria
This contest is peer judged, meaning you (if you sign up) are a judge. You will be given either 4, 5 or 6 stories (possibly slightly more or less, depending on how many entries) per round. You must drag and drop them into your preferred order. Your order will decide how many points each story is given. Stories will be judged by a number of judges and the average score given will be used as their overall score for that round.
Prize and Tax Information
Prizes will be awarded as per the contest rules. Monetary rewards will be transferred via PayPal, while site credit prizes will be applied directly to winners' accounts. All applicable taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners.
